ABOUT DR. ALEJANDRO LÓPEZ
Dr. Alejandro Lopez received advanced training in weight loss surgery scholarships at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. López is now the Medical Director of Alo Bariatrics in Mexico. He has extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery and extensive experience in surgery for bariatric procedures, including laparoscopic gastric bypass, adjustable gastric band (Lap-Band®), sleeve gastrectomy, bariatric revision procedures, and gastric plication.
Dr. López has performed more than 5,000 bariatric surgery procedures since 2005 and has received numerous awards for his work in bariatric surgery. Dr. Lopez grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico and received his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara. His residency in general surgery was completed at the National Medical Center of the West. IMSS. He then began training with a scholarship at Cook County Hospital Chicago Il.
